Several weeks ago members of the SPRC met with you all during the Sunday School hour in order to give each of you a chance to speak concerning a change of staff personnel in regards to the youth director position here at Hendersonville First UMC. In that meeting it was stated that there would be two youth representatives from the Youth Group that would be part of the search committee. Here is how we will select the representatives:
If you are wanting to be a part of the Search Committee, I am asking that you write a one to two page letter explaining why it is that you would like to be a part of this process. These letters will be due in to me by Sunday, August 8th at noon. You may either email your letter to me or bring it by the church office. After the letters have been received, I will white out the names and a team of Youth Leaders will read over the letters and select the two they feel will best represent the Youth Group.
I believe strongly that our youth group needs to be represented in this important process. This is the fairest way I know to select two individuals to be part of the Search Committee. I am praying that many of you all will take the time to write a short letter and submit it to me by Sunday at noon. The results of the selection process will be made known shortly thereafter.
